We offer Horseback Riding, Weddings & Horse-drawn Wedding Carriage services in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains. Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville area YES! We accept all major credit & debit cards, as well as Travelers Checks.. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains, we provide wonderful trail riding memories.
Views up to 40 miles. Our scenic trails wind along the shore of 33,000 acre Douglas Lake and through Mountain Valleys.
There are several points where one can get a view of the Valley of The Cherokee. During certain times of the year, you can even ride out onto some of the islands in the middle of the lake!
Ask about our sunset rides. 5 to 7 pm
The Dollywood Foundation releases young Eagles back to Nature in this remote area. Keep your eyes open for them and the many other birds and wildlife along the trails.
Really, why would anyone ride in downtown smog and traffic noise when you can drive a few minutes to a wilderness area and ride where Indians lived along with early pioneers.

Located just outside of Sevierville, off high way 66 at traffic light number 18.3. Travel 3 miles out hwy 338 north to Providence Road. where our Douglas Lake View Stables sign will direct you one mile to our Stable, a huge Red Barn on the right.
We are just minutes away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Knoxville.
We have a variety of horses to fit your needs. We have many nice horses that are all sizes . All of our horses are gentle, mixed-breeds.
Our guests range from first time riders to more experienced equestrians.
Everyone is welcome! We open 8 A.M. every day of the year except Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day Perfect for families! Young children ages 2-6 can ride in the saddle with an adult, 7 and above ride their very own horse.
We have many trails to choose from, depending on your level of experience. We have several large horses to accommodate our more robust and full-figured guests. We have a trail and horse for most everyone!
Our facility is the site of many romantic rustic western weddings in our lovely, scenic hilltop gazebo overlooking the Valley of The Cherokee, both on horseback and in our hilltop Gazebo. We also perform weddings at our Sweetheart Riverside Wedding Chapel in Downtown Sevierville. This is a complete Wedding Planning and Coordinating Service. We can help you every step of the way. We offer a wide variety of settings and options in our wedding packages, which we custom tailor to your specific taste and budget. Ceremonies are performed by our resident Chaplain Jim Chambers, who is an Ordained Minister. Reverend Chambers officiates many weddings every year at Douglas Lake Stables and many other locations. Veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, Chaplain Jim performs Wedding Ceremonies for Active Duty Military Personnel FREE OF CHARGE. He is also a recording artist who has performed with The Creations Quartet and provides live music entertainment in our Lobby area.
